Cooling Mats

I couldn't find your mat but got one from Bed Bath & Beyond. It's the gel kind, 36"x 20" and no need to freeze or chill. I opened it wide and put it on the floor and put Ginger on it and she walked right out. I folded it and put it in her bed and right now she is laying on it in her bed. We will see if she will keep using it.

Song, did your mat come with a soft machine washable cover? If not, you might want to use a pillowcase if it'll fit. The coolness will still come through, but it'll be cleaner and softer for Ginger to lie on. Mine has a cover that zips on/off. It is a soft velvety type material. My mat without the cover feels like a swimming pool float material. Kind of clammy and rough. Not real inviting to lie on. Just a thought...... Xxxxx

I got one for Caseybug when she was alive that Savannah now uses, cost $100. Its I don't know 5x5 feet and its a water bed is what I call it. Its like a waterbed mattress that has a posture-pedic cushion inside it. I filled it with like 2 -3 gallons of water put the cap back on and that's it. It stays nice and cool forever. Its heavy and hard to move though its about 1.5 maybe 2 inches thick and both Casey and Now Savannah love it.
