Lightbulb Stem Cell Therapy in dogs (and horses)

Browsing the internet (how weird I NEVER do that... ) I came accross the following article which seemed very interesting. Here are the Links and some movie clips from Allie the Boxer, who's story was well illustrated.

I have seen news stories and there has been a bit of talk here in Australia about the stem cell therapy. Very interesting stuff!

I noticed that this was posted over two years ago. They have come a LONG WAY with this and it truly is fascinating. I think that it is possible to help a lot of our dogs, but I'm not sure if once organs are damaged if they can still be helped - somehow I think so, because I think they take the stem cells from the fat of the dog, and the entire point is that it is a new and healthy growing cell that helps regenerate ... there are stories of muscle and liver regeneration that are very interesting. I don't think that the link is here that I posted on Simon's thread, but we are going to be very near a Specialty Center in Ventura that was one of the first to use stem cells for treatment for all kinds of things. I just thought I'd post this because I have so much HOPE when I see what it has done to help other dogs. If anyone wants to visit Simon's thread, it is a fairly recent post that has the link to a place where you can put in your zip code and find vets near you that have some experience or training in this - two years ago they were only in CA - now I bet that there is a vet within reasonable driving distance near you. Is there anyone that has tried it here? Also, I really need to get going, but if someone wants to pull the link I posted on Simon's thread http://www.k9cushings.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2139 and put it here thats If it is as exciting as I think it is I will for sure let everyone know.

Today in our morning newspaper, York Daily Record, there is an article on this type of therapy. The University of Florida researchers are leading up this study which, it seems, is helping some dogs.

Found a couple articles on the internet: This article is from 2014; http://www.gainesville.com/article/2...cles/141019541

Here's a very recent video showing some pretty amazing results with regenerative stem cell therapy. It was so amazing, I could not hold back the tears.
