Default Checking in for March 2022

"Checking in" is a topic that we start on the first of each month. We suspect that we have a good number of members who read the messages regularly but who don't post very often. Maybe that's because their dogs are doing well, or they don't have a Cushing's dog anymore, or they haven't got any questions to ask, or maybe they don't feel very comfortable about posting answers to other members' questions. It's perfectly understandable and acceptable for folks to only post once in a while, but when we don't hear from people, many of us find ourselves wondering what those folks have been up to recently and how their dogs are doing.

It's always preferable to post updates about your Cushing's dog in your own thread/topic (especially if you want feedback/replies from other members) but you can also post a quick reply here if you just want to say hi and let everyone know how you are doing in general.

We'd love to hear from you!

Good evening. Checking in for March..
This is a tough one.. Monday, March 7th will be a year since we had to say goodbye to our precious Ginger!
The anxiety has slowly been mounting, but has increased in the last couple of weeks. My heart hurts every day and I still find it almost unbelievable that she is not here. I want badly every day to change the outcome.. my failures stand out much more than all the things we did right.
Grief is really, really hard, but grief with regrets is almost unbearable. I know I am not alone on this journey.. even though only I can walk it, it doesn't mean I have to do it alone. None of us do and I am so thankful for those helping along the way. It really is ok to not be okay but please don't hesitate to reach out. I have and continue to need help and welcome it all. If anyone needs to chat, vent, cry, share, I am only a post away.
