Default Cushings/Internist Recommendation Needed, San Francisco Bay Area

My dog, Tux, is displaying multiple signs of Cushings, but our vet Not an internist) says his bloodwork and urine test are normal. I would like to have him evaluated further. Can anyone recommend a specialist in the San Francisco Bay Area?

    Thank you!

Hi and welcome to you and Tux!

Could you share more information about Tux, such as the symptoms you are seeing and his test results?

For an IMS you can try looking here: https://online.acvs.org/acvsssa/rfls...VENDOR_TY=VETS

Hello, and welcome from me, as well! As Lori says, we’d be glad to offer some additional thoughts and suggestions if you care to share more specifics about Tux’s situation and testing thus far. However, here’s another reference link for you. It’s the search tool for the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM):

We’re very glad to meet you, and look forward to learning more about your boy.

Hi srdoglover. I'm in the East Bay and I contemplated going to UC Davis, SAGE and VCA Bay area specialists. I ended up at VCA Bay Area Specialists in San Leandro because a couple of folks I talked to when asking about Internists, mentioned that place as having an excellent internal medicine department. The two internists there is Dr. Hagen and Dr. Funes. I ended up with Dr. Funes and later remember my general vet mentioned that she liked Dr. Hagen if that helps you pick one. My dog was just diagnosed even though for years I suspected it and during most of that time his bloodwork and urine were normal! Well I finally took him to a specialist after I trip to the ER and consistently now seeing 3 rounds of bloodwork that didn't seem right to me even though the regular vet called it "unremarkable".
