Hi Trish and All! I jumped in just in time to see Flynn is having another surgery. Oh my, that lil guy has really been through a lot. I'm sending positive vibes your way for a successful surgery...
  2. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

Hi Trish! I stopped by to see how Flynn was doing. Wow, it's hard to catch up because you have quite the long thread:). From what I gathered, it looks like Flynn has some numbers that are off and...
  3. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

I sent you a couple of pictures and a video of Ella:).
  4. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

    Hi Trish!

I was thinking of you and all of the other K-9 Cushing's family and just wanted to check in. I'm sorry about your dad. Wow, he has been through a lot. I'm glad to hear my buddy...

I am glad our boy is doing well:). He is one tough pup.

Ella is a really good baby. She has consistently slept through the night since 8 weeks old. Yay!!

I really miss Chey, but I know she is...

    Hi Trish-

Poor Flynn!! I am sorry to hear he is having a rough time, but seems he is getting better if he's terrorizing the rats. Poor lil guy having a couple of serious surgeries in the last...

More hugs to you and Flynn! I am so happy to hear he is doing well.
  9. Re: adrenal tumor--starting Trilostane--darling Chey passed away

On a happier note, I had a baby girl, Ella Reese, on September 1st. She was delivered prematurely and weighed 3 lbs 15.6 ozs, 18.25 inches. Although she was small, she was healthy, never spent a...
  10. Re: adrenal tumor--starting Trilostane--darling Chey passed away

Thank you all for your messages and support over the last year. Trish pretty much summed up what happened. Chey got excited to go out and would jump around. I opened the baby gate to the kitchen...
  11. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

So glad to hear the good news:). Poor Flynn having to go through yet another surgery. He's a trooper (and so are you, Trish). Paws up buddy, Flynn. Chey is looking over him.
  12. Re: Mometamax-med for ear infection causes deafness

    Trish-

I don't think the Trilostane is doing her good at the moment. She still drinks a lot and has really soft stools. She acts starved all of the time and she can be so annoying begging for...
  13. Re: Mometamax-med for ear infection causes deafness

    John-

I meant to respond to you. I would venture to guess your pup went deaf from the Gentamycin and not just coincidental. How in the world and why does this drug cause hearing loss???? Ugh!!!!
  14. Re: Mometamax-med for ear infection causes deafness

I don't know if the infection is cleared up or not. I haven't taken her back. The vet didn't ask for a recheck. She is still pretty deaf. I know it isn't the worst thing in the world, but it...
  15. Re: Mometamax-med for ear infection causes deafness

    Sharlene-

I will keep the Surolan in mind in case this infection doesn't get cleared up or she gets another one.

    Thanks all for your input.

    Ro
  16. Re: Mometamax-med for ear infection causes deafness

I still can't say whether Chey is regaining any hearing. I have yelled and screamed at her to no avail, but she will kinda perk her ear when I clap loudly. Maybe she is catching my movement with...
  17. Mometamax-med for ear infection causes deafness

    Hi All-

I just thought I would pass a little information along about Mometamax, a medication used to treat ear yeast infections. Chey was losing hair on her ears with a black crust plus had black...
  18. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

Woohoo!!! So glad it wasn't SSC. Flynn certainly is the million dollar dog. He is so lucky to have such a caring mum like you.
  19. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

I was just checking in on my buddy Flynn. Glad he is well for the most part. I hope he doesn't have any broken teeth or sores in his mouth.
  20. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

    Hi Trish-

I am so glad to read there is no evidence of reoccurrence of the pheo. Yay!!!! It seems everything looks pretty much the same except his small intestine. Was the swab removed from his...
  21. Re: adrenal tumor--starting Trilostane

Trish- today (Tuesday) is day three of 60 mg and there hasn't really been any improvement in her water consumption just yet. She has had four large accidents in a week:(. All of her accidents have...
  22. Re: Flynn 11 y/o Foxie Cross - Right adrenalectomy, 3rd Dec 2012 for Pheochromocytoma

Ok...what the heck is this about blood in Flynn's stool?? And, you sick?? Neither of these scenarios are acceptable!

Is Flynn having an ultrasound next week? I sure hope the blood was nothing...
  23. Re: adrenal tumor--starting Trilostane

No UTI, so it's probably the cortisol level being high again. We are going back to 60 mg of Vetoryl. I will start that on Saturday when I can be home with her. The vet gave me Prednisone this time...
  24. Re: adrenal tumor--starting Trilostane

Thanks Valerie!! I am with you....so many health issues are common in Cush pups. It stinks:(. I have a feeling it's the cortisol levels being too high instead of UTI. Blood pressure was 160, but...
  25. Re: adrenal tumor--starting Trilostane

Hello Everyone!! I hope all the ladies had a wonderful Mother's Day. Dog moms celebrate Mother's Day too:) I thought I would give a quick update on Cheyenne....her water consumption is high again,...
