Urinary infections, and hind leg weakness, are common in cush pups so I hope the ABs solve the issue. How is she doing?

    Re: Suni

As she comes off of the steroids those signs should start to go away IF this is only Iatrogenic. Right now the steroids are causing the signs, not because the adrenals are over-producing cortisol. ...

    Re: Suni

Most vets are using Vetoryl these days (compound name Trilostane). It has the same risk factors as Lysodren but has a much shorter life in the body than Lyso so if, IF, there is a problem with the...

    Re: Suni

Yes since she has been on the steroid drops for long term. The adrenal glands can atrophy on steroid use and you want to give them time to regenerate so a s.l.o.w. wean is best. I would want to...
  8. Re: New here, 11 year old sweet JRT mix just diagnosed with CushingÂ’s

bichons9, When you see Cushing's with the capital A and weird markings it has something to do with texting on a phone I think. It is not a separate form of Cushing's. It's some sort of typo or...

Here's a link Glynda shared with me:

    Re: Surgery Scheduled

Great news on the splenic tumor! That was the same as for my Squirt. Because of that experience I always recommend the ultrasound if at all feasible. Praying the liver path report is just as good!
  16. Re: Question about trilostane side effects

Hi and welcome from us as well!

Typically once a dog starts to show signs of an overdose you want to stop the med for a few days and let the adrenal glands regenerate. Protocol says 7 days but...

    Welcome to you and Joni!

I wanted to talk to you about that 2-year myth....yes, myth. That is exactly what that claim is. Maybe, MAYBE, many years ago that was seen as fact but...
