Checking in for October 2014

"Checking in" is a topic that we start on the first of each month. We suspect that we have a good number of members who read the messages regularly but who don't post very often. Maybe that's because their dogs are doing well, or they don't have a Cushing's dog anymore, or they haven't got any questions to ask, or maybe they don't feel very comfortable about posting answers to other members' questions. It's perfectly understandable and acceptable for folks to only post once in a while, but when we don't hear from people, many of us find ourselves wondering what those folks have been up to recently and how their dogs are doing.

It's always preferable to post updates about your Cushing's dog in your own thread/topic (especially if you want feedback/replies from other members) but you can also post a quick reply here if you just want to say hi and let everyone know how you are doing in general.

Hello all, just wanted to thank everyone here for all the support and advice. I was just imagining going thru the cushings and now the diabetes, without internet! Yikes, could you imagine how many unanswered questions and panic modes there would be without having someplace to start looking for answers. Its hard to remember life without computers, guess Im aging myself :D
Kona is doing great on cushings, just trying to get this diabetes under control is more of a battle than cushings was. Poor girl, I feel like Ive made her into a pin cushion, but luckily she is sooo patient with me.

Hello. I am new to the forums and will soon be starting a thread with some questions about my 11 year old lab. I've read through many of the posts and threads and found the information to be very useful. And the members to be very thoughtful and kind. I'm not even sure if my dog has Cushing's but I thought posting here might be a good start. Thank you again for providing such a wonderful site.
