Jenny
Can't wait to see the album!!!! Thank YOU Jenny for sharing it!!!!
Wow... I had such a very enjoyable weekend. :D:D:D
It was great seeing Glynda again, and meeting Jenny and Chris, Ken and Diedra and Maddy the wild crazy and very, very happy doggie :D:D:D
Sorry the Skype didn't work out as well as I would have liked, :( seems we kept dropping Leslie, but the sheer joy on Jenny's face while video chatting with Terry was wonderful. I think I will need to add a group video chat application.
Food, drink, and great company..... It was absolutely wonderful and my fur butts really enjoyed their time watching the world go by on the very large front porch.... it was their favorite place and Glynda made sure they were comfy with blankets and pillows.... they were really pampered :D
Thank you Glynda for hosting such a wonderful weekend. :D:D:D
Got a couple of pics finally in the album.
I had an absolute blast. I just knew that my friends from K9C were going to be great in "real life". Thanks so much Glynda for giving us a place to stay and thanks to those who were able to make it. I know a few more of you really tried but it was just not to be. Always a next time.:D
Jen
Oh, the pics are wonderful! So nice to see The Steering Committee looking so well! I know ya'll had a blast. Thanks for sharing, Jen!
As usual, I look like a big fat sea cow; however, this time there were some contributing factors. I had ingested a whole lot of sea salt, seasoned salt and olive juice in my bloody marys and margaritas. I was pickled and cured for sure. :p
Speaking of bloody marys, I am attaching one of my better pictures taken on Sunday at a play date/brunch I hosted for a few of my dog loving friends and their burbutts. If you look really closely, you will count all or parts of nine of the 12 dogs who were there. I'm the forehead behind the brunette (Gil's sister, Sheila) on the right.
Everyone got along beautifully, including the dogs. :D If you look at the woman to the left of center (Jenna), you'll see a tiny butt to the right of her feet. That's Budda, an eight week old Chi with no front legs, who was the hit of the party. Jenna rescued him and his two one day old sisters on the day his owner took them to the shelter to be euthanized. Mom had six puppies but nobody would want to buy a dog with no front legs so they were discarded like yesterday's trash. Jenna bottle fed them but unfortunately, the girls didn't make it but Budda is a thriving, healthy and very active puppy. The second most popular furbutt, or should I saw furless butt, was my Lulu. She is the one under the coffee table begging for food. What a surprise...NOT!
It would have been a perfect day if not for Zelda, the Doxie, disappearing. Fortunately, her big brother Sam, a huge Golden Retriever, did his job and lead us to the crawl space under the house. We could hear her rooting around in the darkness and it wasn't until we broke out the food that she finally decided to come out. We were all relieved but none as much as Jenna. She was the only one skinny enough to fit through the hole and I was already eyeing her. :D

Hey Glynda, I can only see 9 dogs! I'll have another look when I put my glasses on.
I have a funny story that started when we arrived in the US that I would like to share.
I wanted to purchase a travel iron and for some reason every store I asked about it seemed to not understand what I was wanting. It wasn't until I mentioned it to Glynda in Show Low that I was informed it was my Aussie accent (I don't think there is one) and everyone thought I meant a travel lion. Why anybody would want a lion to travel with is beyond me but I thought it was funny and saw a small plastic toy who we named Con (Conair travel iron)to star in many of our holiday pictures. See below.....

I did manage to find my travel iron as well but it was not allowed on the cruise so it was held for my return and it didn't get taken out of the box. I got more use out of the lion than the iron.
