Re: Bailey and Friends
Lots of BIG HUGS!!!!
WOW!!!! I hadn't been paying attention to where the hurricane was headed. I sure hope it changes direction and doesn't hit your town.
Be careful getting out of town. Those crazy people will be out there who don't have a clue what really needs to be done...
You just can't get back to training to do the start over....:( You will get it down and so will Bailey.
Enjoy your time at Ryan's!!!:)

Re: Bailey and Friends
OMG
.....I DID forget you while evacuating. Well the town is closed, the stores and restaurants are closed so I'll just have to tell you how to get by.
There is no pool in the basement, but there should be the beginnings of one tomorrow.Practice your swimming strokes. Use the new sweaters I gave you to keep yourself warm when you get out of the pool. You can wear one around the back and your shoulders and you can wear the second one around the front, also with your shoulders. Now the house alarm is set, so don't try to get into the house. You'll be fine in the non basement.
Eat some greens from around the yard and some pine cones. Bailey loves all of those so they MUST taste good.DO NOT eat anything that looks like a Tootsie Roll.
The house water is turned off so as soon as it starts raining use some grocery store plastic bags to catch the water. If you're still hungry, there is an opossum that comes by and there us a cat that I've seen several times. I guess you'll have to try to
buy sine lighters ti cook them.
We had a very safe and pleasant ride to Ryan's. :D Bailey traveled very well in the car in her condo. She is taking a while to settle down, but she'll have figured it all out by tomorrow.
Gotta go to bed. Vacating your house requres a lot of things to be done., We'll have a much better idea by Sunday about how long before we can go back.
HUGS to you both.:)
Love,
Sus an

Re: Bailey and Friends
Hi Susan,
Hoping all is well with you and yours. Last I heard, it was losing power so maybe there won't be much damage at your home. Keep in touch and let us know how things are with you and your family.
Hugs,
Leslie

Re: Bailey and Friends
Hi Susan,
When I checked the internet nothing was said so far so that could be good. Hopefully it will have lost power or change directions and your house and town will be safe.
It is a good thing I know how to swim--requirement in Southern California--haha!!! ;) I don't think I want to eat anything that looks like a tootsie roll---, but I might try the pinecones--Addy, we could roast them with the lighters, maybe a little salt and who knows...too bad Carrol is missing this adventure--she is always off who knows where!!!
Take care and I am glad Bailey is traveling better, can't say that for Miss Ella...she didn't drool, but almost home and blatttt:eek::D
Enjoy your time with Ryan!!!

Re: Bailey and Friends
Well, I tried some of those dang pine cones and I really don't see why Bailey likes them cause all they did was get stuck in my teeth!!!!!
I think I might of stumbled on some garlic mustard down the road and that had at least a bit of a bite to it.:p:p:p:p:p:p
As for the opussum, he's looking at ME for dinner:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Hopefully you can come home soon and everything is okay.
Love,

Re: Bailey and Friends
Hi Leslie, Marie and Addy-
The news we get is that there is very little affect @BB.:confused: I don't understand how that can be.........I've watched TV almost nonstop for 36 hours and at the very least we should be flooded.
The power is out....the electric company turned it off at the beginning-after we evacuated....for safety. They are working on our area now so I bet it will be on before too long. It'll be "fun" to see what has happened inside the refrigerator and the freezer.
I am told the water flooding is less than it was a week ago with a summer storm.....if that is the case, we should be really fine.:D
Bob is grumpy, so I don't know what his plans are. I plan to go back right after lunch. I can take Bailey or he can take Bailey. By the way, Marie, we had given her 1/2 of a child's Dramamine before we left to come here. Will do the same today. You can't tell that it affects her other than she doesn't throw up............which is a HUGE blessing.:)
I am SOOOO relieved. From the news reports here it looked sooooo bad. I was really having a large case of nerves. I'll report after I get back.
Thanks for your messages and concerns. It was nice to be able to talk with people who aren't caught up in this.
Love,
Hugs,
Susan

Re: Bailey and Friends
Oh.....Addy-----you might want to be careful with that garlic mustard. Sounds like some of Palmer's poop when he was ill. (Yes, I meant to say Palmer.)
YUCK
