Got my dates wrong, Dad's appt with K9 oncologist was today. They are running more tests but looking at one of two things apparently - soft tissue Sarcoma or histosarcoma. They said they will keep me in the loop when they know more, but hoping for the first. They think they got clear margins when removing it so here's hoping!
I hope he gets a good report, Naomi! Let us know what you learn.

Well we are due for some good news, and looks like we might have it. Got an update from Dad a short while ago, his poodle has/had what appears to be a low grade soft tissue sarcoma, which was removed surgically with clear margins as previously said. Oncologist recommends now a baseline chest x-ray, which if clear is then repeated in 3 months, then 6 then 12. After that he gets the all clear. They aren't expecting anything on the x-ray, its just a baseline to watch if anything spreads.
So after all that, what they thought was a cyst that they got removed cause it was ugly, was the best possible step. Early removal of potential disaster. Score one for vanity!
That is good news!!! We never know with these lumps and bumps, boy I learned my lesson with Zoe.
