Good that they have given you some more responsibility sounds like it's working out well
Bumped into wee Mac lately? Have you seen any potential new babies?

Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
YAY MEL!!! :D:D Lovely to see you and hear what's up with you, yes very sad about Squirt and we are all hoping Leslie is doing OK. Glad the holiday was good :)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Yeah saw Mac Thursday when I popped in for a cuppa, he is doing well and has the snip but he is bouncing around lol
There is two little JRT in rescue I keep looking at they are only 2 and have to be rehomed together. Some days I think yip go for it, next day I'm not so sure :)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
I am an advocate for having 2 as they have each other when you leave them and to play with if they are naughty buggers with other dogs!
I always used to imagine Tia looking after Boyce.
How old are they?
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
ohhhh show us the link!!! Be so nice for them to have company while you are at work
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Boyce had to have his off as he got cancer in one of them, he was not happy with me, didn't speak to me for a good couple of days after :D
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Can't do links on my phone but web is
Www.dogstrust.co.uk/rehoming go to Glasgow centre and it's Alfie and Ben but Greg is cute too :)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
That link doesn't work, Trish search dogs trust Glasgow, then you can filter to JRT's
Ben has such a scruffy coat, they couldn't be more opposite, Alfie has all the traditional markings on his face. I think they are well cute
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Doesn't work for me either... ohhh going to do what Mel said!
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Yeah I'm not sure Ben is full jack Russell but love how he,s all scruffy ooooh what to do :)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Thanks Mel I'm useless at links x
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Alfie looks a bit like your wee man Trish x
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
They are so cute Tracy, I can see why you love Greg too... he looks a real sweetie!! My brother's name is Greg :)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
I vote take them, I think that you are ready now, two will be different from when you had Woody boy which I think is a good thing. They will have each other when you are at work and will love it at your house xx
And I also think not many people would take them both
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Yeah Alfie does have a look of Flynn. He is a different colour from Woody as he was mostly white, couldn't hurt to go meet them would it
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Looks like Woody too, it does not say if they are litter mates. They so different though. I vote TAKE THEM!!!! Can you go for a visit, like today?? :D
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Yeah Flynn has that black on his back.. he definitely has Woody ears though, all perked up like that!
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Well Trish not today as it's 11.30 pm but could go tomorrow at least to look
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
No it definitely won't hurt, maybe take them both out for a walk see how it feels.
I warn you if they have flexi leads, if they are anything like mine you will end up tangled and constantly changing the leads from one hand to another. That used to annoy me, now I don't know what to do with one hand, funny what things you miss!
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Yep open 12-4, including weekends :D
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
I,ll see how I feel in the morning but probably will go see them :D
Mel it is funny the things you miss, it has been years since I've had two dogs together could I cope ..... Probably ok I WILL go see them tomorrow
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Course you can cope, they are only little :D. Will be a bit more expensive but your working now.
I think you should see them, nothing lost doing that, you don't definitely have to take them.
What worries you about having 2?
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Not sure Mel that they may not get on but they wouldn't rehome them together if the didn't get on, although as you say they could keep each other company, wouldn't be that much more expensive would it?
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
No I wouldn't have thought so, doubt they each shed loads.
Am guessing they must have been taken from the same place which is why they want them homed together, they can't have known life without each other as I am sure it must be harder to re home 2 than 1
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
They were probably together in another home before they got to the rescue?? Yep I think see them, and Greg too!
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
They must have came in together the dogstrust only take strays from the pound in so the must have been picked up together. It didn't cost me much to fed woody about £5 pounds per week so wouldn't be much more. It is harder to rehome 2 dogs but I wouldn't think it would be more work just extra cuddles :D
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Greg is divine with his little grey face but I know this is terrible he is older than what I was looking for.
Right decision made I'm going to the centre tomorrow have a look and if I come home with all three of them I'm blaming you two :D
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
One of my favourite memories is my two larking around together. Tia was always super fast so he would have to proper chase her, he would kind of nip her which she would tolerate to a point then she would have enough and run off leaving him standing.
Another is after a long day how they would lie side by side with one keg kicked out behind, Tia usually had more of the bed :D
Such joy to see them together, as they love each other like they love us xx
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
That's not terrible, I thought when I saw him you needed a younger dog as you are still getting over losing Woody and to have a issue with Greg would be horrible for you both.
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Yeah that's true about Greg, don't feel bad. 3 would be quite a handful!! Take photos of them please! :D
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Aw Mel that sounds lovely and also like lots of fun, I love that Tia left him standing :D hearing that makes me feel better about 2. Were they good mates I like to see dogs snuggled together
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Tia sounds like such a speedy girl!! Yes, I like the idea of them snuggling up together too. Wish I had two, but don't think it right to bring another one to disturb Flynn's life of luxury!
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
Tia is the reason we have Boyce. He looked after her as she was the only girl and we didn't have the heart to part them. They loved each other very much, him more than her but she did always spend time sleeping next to him each day and kicking him out of where he was, she would often jump on him when he was on a chair if he looked comfortable, cow  I would tell her not to but she always did!
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
That sounds like a lot of fun in your house no wonder you miss her so much she sounds like she had a big personality. Poor Boysie being kicked off the chair he will miss that and Tia too:)
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
I think he probably did at first but now he probably likes the fact he doesn't have to share anything.
Whenever we go away we always eat out I never cook so I always take home a little bit of meat, we did that tradition with her and she would push him out the way again so I bet he doesn't miss her for that :D he sits right down as soon as he sees a little white package in my hand as I always wrap it in a napkin x
-
Re: Confused and Overwhelmed-Diagnosed Anal Sac Carcinoma (Woody has passed)
I always did that too, wrapped in a napkin must be a dog owning thing lol yip he,ll be glad he gets the titbits to himself.
I'm off to sleep as it's late, great to hear from you, take care and don't be a stranger. I better get some sleep for my adventure tomorrow
