Hooray!! :D:D:D (Not too many places we can celebrate poop!)
Curious about the timing of the limp -- hopefully, it will disappear soon.

Yea I thought that curious too. I thought it was getting better. Now I think is worse again. All I can think is that she might have hurt it with all the jumping around off the couches she does. Vet did say she was showing sensitivity at her back injury area. Swear if it's not one thing it is another
But yay for poops. Lol. You're right. Not many places we'd say That
So, how about this. Took molly for grooming today, now that the poop situation has cleared up and I had my groomer look at mollys nails since I said, I think she is displaying sensitivity there and she said, yep, someone clipped these too shorts, this is probably why she is limping now. arggghhh, I haven't asked anyone to clip her nails, my groomer always does it, but guess at the hospital someone must have done it and not told me they went too short. Anyway, we will monitor her, not let her jump for awhile till her nails are not so sensitive and see if that helps. We've already had all her joints looked at by vets, but I didn't think of her nails since I knew I hadn't had them done. I should have thought of that first though. I knew they weren't split as I looked at the joints. I feel like a bad mommy.
I'll be telling them no clipping her nails. I have someone who does that!!
Would that have caused stress colitis maybe too? from pain?
My initial thought is that it could. Maybe.
Sharlene--don't beat yourself up! You had absolutely no reason to think there was an issue with Molly's nails. I would think the stress of getting her nails clipped combined with the pain could certainly cause her diarrhea. The timing certainly works.
You are a wonderful Mommy Sharlene. :pDo you want to be mine? I could use one. ;):D
None of us, even supermoms like you, can control/know EVERYTHING. Yes, it does all fit together. Front paws are particularly sensitive and that could explain the limping. Anything can set off diarrhea, so it's all possible.
Tell them to keep their mitts off of our little diva!
Don't you just hate it when people do stuff that they're not asked to do and cause problems  You really shouldn't beat yourself up.
There are times when I think we have to be detectives to work out what's going on with our pups.
Hopefully you've identified the problem - it's certainly plausible, so keeping everything crossed that the nails grow quickly and she's feeling much better soon.
Thankfully the limping is getting better every day, so that is a plus.
She continues to do well as far as her tummy goes too, so Yay.
Yay! Good news!
Molly seems to have recovered completely now from the sensitive toe nail clipping. grrrrrr
She does have times when her back legs bother her and you can tell as she'll climb a step instead of bouncing up it, or just wait for a lift. It isn't all the time, just some days are rougher than others.
poops are soft form to solid, but nowhere near what it was before, so I'm just hoping that time will help with that.
Hope you are all doing really well!!!
Life is a bit crazy these days. Paternity leave is the bane of my year. Everyone is working extra due to summer vacations (we miss one person and things get backed up) and then have a paternity leave for one of our team for all of November/December, so definitely crazy. Add in some personal stuff and well I'm not here nearly as much as I'd like to be but do try to pop in as much as I can.
I don't want anyone to think I've forgotten about you. I definitely haven't.
I hope everyone is having a good summer and your furbabies are doing well.
hugs
Hey Sharlene, you are amazing. You always answer each and everyones question. Thank you
