Thank you so much to all of you...
I'm back, and Lucy's okay so far. By the time we got there I honestly thought she was in shock, but after about an hour, she looked more alert (they said they didn't even do anything except check her vitals and electrolytes, and they're all good.) The vet was concerned about why she wasn't getting up. She just doesn't want to get up now...but at least she's awake and looking around. She said she definitely has vision in her right eye, but said pupil in left eye was pinprick...She's going to talk to Dr. B and let him make the call on whether to do an MRI today and see what's going on upstairs or let her have another day...meanwhile the assistant called me and said she ate and drank for her and she was able to give her all her meds...except, of course, the dreaded acepromazine. I went in to give her a kiss before I left and i think she followed me with her left eye. I don't know what to think anymore...I'm just a walking zombie right now though. At least they wrapped her tail so she doesn't get any more poopie nasty on them...I spent a good part of the night cleaning and cutting shit from around her tail:(

What a relief!! For now anyway. I've been refreshing my page every 1/2 hour or so to see if you posted. I'm so happy for you. I was hoping the wait meant she was okay. From what I read sounds like you need to go to bed! I know you don't know me but I've been keeping up with your story and was so worried when I read about your terrible night.

What a horrible night you have had. If Lucy is improving without any treatment that is good isn't it. I am hopeful it was the acp which will wear off. Even people react differently to anesthetics. You have my thoughts and prayers.
