Re: Squirt - Atypical, then true Cushing's, no current treatment; CCD
Leslie:
That is similar to what I am saying about Tipper's stomach going in and out. I hope there is nothing wrong. Thank you for being a good friend and your never ending support. Tipper means everything to me, she is my universe. I must think and do the very best I can for her. I just feel terrible and I am trying to rest, and my mind will not shut off. Blessings

Oh dear...I hope little Squirt's tummy has settled down and is not giving her anymore trouble. There's always something to worry about isn't there? Sounds like a big day at the groomer for your gang! Hope they all do fine there! :p

Wow, that would have been a tad terrifying to see. Hopefully she wouldn't have vomited in her sleep. Do dogs normally vomit in their sleep? I'd think that gag reflex would wake them up?
Maybe she was just having an upset stomach, which they say can happen from acid build up over night and then the best thing to do is to do just what you plan. Give a bit of food at night before they go to sleep!
Bet they all come home looking nice and spiffy with the new "do".

Yeah, they all did quite well! Sophie was the only brat, taking two to hold her for a simple trim!:D Trinket looks SO CUTE with her cut (pics in her album ;)) and I can plainly see the Pom in her now. Don't know why I couldn't before but there you have it! :p Brick was MUCH calmer than he is when the vet does it so he will be going back for sure for his next trim. Fox has the sweetest little face and stole everyone's heart right away to a chorus of "awwws". :D Since I was the "400th" customer, the male groomer kindly "gave" me the owner's Poodle, who absolutely HATES him. I asked what he did wrong and he said, "Breath." LOLOL :p:p:p
I decided to back up their lunch and supper time by one hour starting today. Then if she is still having tummy issues more often than I would like, I'll back supper up another hour. Bedtime treats will come later, too.

Surprise! The "adventures" continue at our home! First this abscess is coming back for the 7th or 8th time - after a while the count just doesn't matter. ;):) So I'll be picking up more ABs today....if I can get there. :o During the bedtime treat session last nite, I almost stepped on Brick when I turned around and landed on the floor again but THANKFULLY missed him. That was my very first thought but he was the very first one in my face, kissing away. My sweet, sweet boy! Sophie thought it was a neat new game and jumped on my belly. :p Once again I can barely move but did not land on my right shoulder, thank goodness. I had a followup appt on it Wed and it is 89% improved...or was. Doc is pretty sure I have nerve damage in my neck and this morning I couldn't argue that if my life depended on it.
Squirt has not had any more of the tummy heaving that I have seen and I really think it was nausea in her sleep. She stopped the action when I hollered her name and I just don't think that would happen if it was another seizure. She was really determined last nite when 4 pm came and went with no supper, tho! I saw that Terrier trait very clearly again. :D I had no intention of trying to read her mind that hour we waited, nope, none at all! :p But she was quite pleased with the extra treats at bedtime so maybe I have been forgiven.

Oh wow LOL sounds like a love fest hehe but I hope you heal fast!
I am thrilled to hear Squirt did not have any more heaving episodes and her appetite sounds great!

Leslie:
My God you are having a time getting hurt and all. I hope you are ok! Good to hear Squirt had no more episodes like you saw. It is so scary, as you never know what is going on with these babies on the inside. I know one thing, your love has kept Squirt with you thru thick and thin, and she is the luckiest baby to have you for a mom. All your babies are lucky. Blessings

Oh gosh Leslie, do be careful. These abscesses knock on you on your tush Literally!!! LOL Seriously, you have to not over do it when you have one of these things. Anyway they can take care of it so it doesn't come back?
Well, you delayed the Queens dinner for an hour. Wow, brave!! I might be shaking in my boots at the looks she must have been sending your way! hahahaha
take care, and hugs

Yes, the game plan is to have a root canal and save this tooth when I can. As long as the bone stays in good shape, that is possible and it is still good with this tooth. I hate missing Brianna's graduation today but I just can't go. It would be an 8-12 hour ordeal with the family events included - more than I can tackle today. :( I was not comfortable leaving the babies for that long even with someone coming over to watch out for them but had made plans to attend anyway. Bri understands as does Mark so I don't feel tooo guilty. ;)
Yeah, by 5pm yesterday the Queen actually BARKED at me! It's been so long since I've heard her bark, it startled me! LOL But boy did that put a fire under my butt and get me in the kitchen. :p She is very happy with the extra treats at night, tho, so maybe she won't have me beheaded!
Re: Squirt - Atypical, then true Cushing's, no current treatment; CCD
Wow, the Queen is letting you know whats what. :)
Take care of yourself! Got to get that thing fixed soon if it's going to keep coming back like this!
