Watching all this weather on TV. Real dark and rainy here, they are not sure when the bad weather will hit!! Wish I had a job where you could guess at things, be wrong, and get paid! Stay safe it is a mess in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. Blessings

These storms are so horrible. Stay safe, they sound like they are pretty big ones and damaging doesn't even begin to describe the devastation I've seen on the news. :(
You guys stay safe! I was having a heart attack last night and this morning, when they said how back Arkansas had been hit.
Nothing can happen to you and the babies, it is simply No Can Do!
Is it clear now? What are they saying? I'll check in on Facebook in a bit.
How does Squirts mouth look? Any idea if she bit her cheek or tongue?
hugs

Thanks, ya'll. It is heartbreaking here in my state and now in Mississippi and Alabama. I haven't heard about Tennessee yet but my friends in the NW portions of TN are ok. The death toll in AR started at 16 then was backed up to 14 as two bodies were counted twice. The last I heard last night the count was back up to 15. Responders are still calling this a rescue effort as they dig further into these towns hit so very hard. I hope the count stops at 15. Several are dead in MS and AL but I don't know how many. We are getting spotty info from those states due to the heavy coverage of ARK.
In case you missed my post on Grace's thread - a friend has donated dog food to the ARK tornado dogs in Grace's name.
My prayers go out to all those who were affected in this natural disaster.
How sweet and wonderful of your friend!
How is Squirt doing? I hope you are not finding anymore blood....prayers continuing!
No more blood but she did throw up again this morning and had the same reaction as the other day - no interest in treats and back in her closet. She seems fine now and enjoyed her breakfast. I didn't give her any cruchies (kibble) in her feed yesterday and only a little this morning in case it was causing the bleeding somehow. She may have bitten her tongue the other morning.

Hope this is all past you now. Wonder what's up with Squirt throwing up?? I have put Tipper's thundershirts on her for over a month when there was no threat of bad weather. She wore them just fine as she is used to wearing clothes, and coats etc. The just did nothing when the storm came. After researching this for a loooong time I kept seeing Ltryptophan and Valerian. Do you know how much and what type would be used. This is the only thing I have not tried. The vet does not want to give Tipper Valium. I can't say I blame him as he knows how allergic she is to stuff, and said they are not good for dogs which I already knew. Same old argument, different week. I am going to post the information on my thread that I got during the research. God Bless Dear Grace.

Don't know about tryptophan but be careful with Valerian root. It is classed as a nervine but it is a nervine that has BOTH sedative and stimulant actions. It works as a stimulant in me and in the only dog I have tried it with. I used it to help him calm down in general as he was uber hyper and he went BONKERS for hours instead. So that is one herb I have put out of my apothecary and rarely consider using. ;)
I use Passionflower and Skullcap with success in all my babies who need it along with melatonin. They get the melatonin in cheese balls and the herbs in a tea over their food. Research carefully to be sure whatever you try won't interfere or interact negatively with any of her meds.
