I was glad to read what the Dr. wrote and what to watch out for. I am glad you are both home safely. You are doing so well with all this, I know you are watching her like a hawk. I am sure she will do well and I hope every part of that tumor goes away. You were so brave doing this to help you beloved Buttercup. The hard part is over now, so you can relax with you baby and just love on her. I am so glad for you that this worked out. Please keep updating as I am thinking of you both. Blessings

We are doing fine, Butters is such a trooper! :DMother and sister in laws cooking actually mad me sick,:( just starting to feel better tonight!! I am the cook in the family and I usually do ALL the holiday meals, and now I know why!!

Oh no!!!! I can't believe that you got sick! So glad that Butters is doing well.

Up early again , her skin is so bad! Doing tea compresses, really hate having to wait so long to treat the cushings . So many spot s are weeping , some with blood others clear fluid. Her skin is do dry and hard can't imagine what she must be feeling living in a coat that's turning to stone. Its now on her chest and inner thighs ,just noticed a small spot in front of her ear,god help us! I'm doing all that I can,yet it doesn't seem like enough. Its been 36 days since I found those 2 tiny spot to a complete out break,from the base of skull to her tail, around her private parts, inner thighs , chest, arm pit,neck,spot in front of ear. There's got to be more that I can do for her. Someone anyone I'm desperate what can I get her that's OTC that will sooth her skin and not make anything worse, doing my best to keep her clean and dry so that she doesn't get an infection.

Calling all angels , we need help 911, I'm drowning in a sea of calcinosis cutis.
Will go back through my thread and dbl ck previous advise, if there is anything else I can do pls let me know.

Did they give you any idea of how well the radiation alone would work on the CC? In my simple mind, shrinking the tumor can help with the over-production of cortisol but the CC still may need a separate treatment. I can give you 2 product just in case I haven't before. How is Butters behavior? Does she seem ok other than her skin?

Sorry you got sick, but hope Butters continues to improve. There is nothing like your own cooking huh? I am sorry Butters is suffering from the CC it must be horrible for the poor babies with this. Thank God that is one thing I have not had to deal with. Tipper has a few very small calcium deposits, but that has been the extent of it. Hope you two are resting up this weekend. Blessings

Ckd out the tcvm link and its only for vets. Did read up on what its about,but yu can only get the product from a certified vet.
No DMSO till reck appt. On the 12th at Davis. Per Dr.Kent he see's that the average percent of cases of PDH that are treated with rad. That about 1/3 of them have their cushings reversed and do not need meds. The other 2/3 will need some kind of meds. The radiation is a slow cell killing process. Bulk of cell death will take place between weeks 3 an 12 after treatment.

She does say it is available only to vets so you might talk to your vet about approving a script for Butters or getting some into his clinic for her. The link is where her product came from via her vet's clinic - they apparently had it in stock.
