"Checking in" is a topic that we start on the first of each month. We suspect that we have a good number of members who read the messages regularly but who don't post very often. Maybe that's because their dogs are doing well, or they don't have a Cushing's dog anymore, or they haven't got any questions to ask, or maybe they don't feel very comfortable about posting answers to other members' questions. It's perfectly understandable and acceptable for folks to only post once in a while, but when we don't hear from people, many of us find ourselves wondering what those folks have been up to recently and how their dogs are doing.

It's always preferable to post updates about your Cushing's dog in your own thread/topic (especially if you want feedback/replies from other members) but you can also post a quick reply here if you just want to say hi and let everyone know how you are doing in general.

We'd love to hear from you! :)

It has been a long time since I have been on here, I lost my furbaby and could not bear the thought of cushings . I guess I was angry at the disease. I couldn't log in for a long time because I forgot my password but really didn't make an effort to get it reset. I am doing much better. The people on this forum helped me get through one of the worst times in my life, I felt helpless when my baby was first diagnosed. How could I not return and say Thank You and try to help if I can.

Oh it’s so good to see you back here once again! Thank you so much for your sweet words about our forum, and we’re so glad you’re feeling better. It’s a pleasure to read your update today. Please do stop back by anytime the mood strikes you. We are always here to join you in honoring your precious Bandit, and also to hear about any new paths you’ve been traveling during these past months. Once again, welcome back. Please do return anytime!

I just posted a check-in in Wayne's thread because it's been a while (8 months) for us too. He's still hanging in there but I worry about him pretty much constantly. Cushing's is such a crappy disease. He's probably had the disease for about 2 years now, so we are thankful that he ultimately got the diagnosis and treatment he needed, but it's an uphill battle each and every day. We try to be thankful for the time we've gotten with him, but it's hard sometimes because I am always waiting for the next bad news. Anyway, I hope you all are well. Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
