If and when you can, please check in with us! I hope you have been able to leave FLA but realize many could not. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours as well as all in the path of Irma. Do all you can to stay safe!!

Winston and I are ok so far. We're staying put since we're about as far from the coast as you can be in Florida. I stocked up with several days' worth of water, food, gas, and an extra bag of Winston's prescription dog food just in case. Our main risk in my area is power outages (possibly prolonged) rather than flooding, provided the storm tracks as they're predicting, but you just never know until it happens. They've cancelled schools and many jobs for Monday already around here. I hope everyone else, especially those farther south and east than we are, stays safe!

They say it is going to cover the whole state when it hits, so likely yea, power outages, tornadoes, etc, plus flooding in coastal areas are all a risk.

Those in other states up the seaboard could be at risk too, so hope you are all taking care.

Looks like they now predict it will move inland towards Georgia. Everyone be careful, flooding, tornados, high winds still likely in expanded areas.

Everything is ok here were Winston and I live. The worst passed us between 2 and 7 am this morning. Surprisingly, we still have electricity an internet at my home for now, although greater than 1/3 of the town is out. We will likely continue to have fairly strong wind gusts until mid-afternoon, but they are saying the worst has passed.

Yay, glad to hear you're doing okay and didn't lose electricity. So many have and that is going to make things difficult.
