Changes for the Tipper and Squirt Care for Cushing's Fund

As of yesterday, Jan. 25, 2017, I stepped down as an active participant on the Tipper and Squirt Care for Cushing’s Fund, Inc. I will retain a vote on the board and my seat on the board as CEO/President but that is the extent of my relationship with the fund. I will have no further business with the fund concerning applicants, setting up fundraisers, and so on as long as Trinket is being treated for Cushing’s in order to prevent any appearance of conflict of interest, unethical practice, or other negative aspect with the fund. Our fund was established to help other families, not for the benefit of Patti or I, and that is the way it will remain. We are actively seeking someone to help Patti with these decisions and endeavors. I trust she will have that help soon.

Several friends have contacted me and asked about donating to the fund in order to help Trink, and I appreciate that desire to help more than words can express but she and I will manage without aid from the fund. By all means, please, please do donate to our fund and help another family but rest assured your donations will not go to Trinket and me. Your continued emotional support and kind, encouraging words will please me no end, though. ;)

Hey Leslie, I never thought for a second about a possible conflict of interest with your Cushings Care fund. I understand your need to step back to protect your and Patti's very important charity. I am very sorry that Trink has Cushings on top of her other issues. :o
