"Checking in" is a topic that we start on the first of each month. We suspect that we have a good number of members who read the messages regularly but who don't post very often. Maybe that's because their dogs are doing well, or they don't have a Cushing's dog anymore, or they haven't got any questions to ask, or maybe they don't feel very comfortable about posting answers to other members' questions. It's perfectly understandable and acceptable for folks to only post once in a while, but when we don't hear from people, many of us find ourselves wondering what those folks have been up to recently and how their dogs are doing.
It's always preferable to post updates about your Cushing's dog in your own thread/topic (especially if you want feedback/replies from other members) but you can also post a quick reply here if you just want to say hi and let everyone know how you are doing in general.
We'd love to hear from you! :)

Just want to say a giant thank you for your support, knowledge and compassion. You are so spot on that you are your pets advocate. I think I lacked that with Shadow and will regret it forever.
I don't know if you realize how important and comforting this site is.
Thanks for a place to come when you feel utterly overwhelmed and just want the best for your best friend.

Hi All,
It's been a while since I've been here. I can't believe it's close to 4 years since Dexter passed away. Sometimes it still feels like it was yesterday. I have a Honeysuckle vine I planted in his memory and it is huge. Every year when it blooms it smells so sweet, just like my baby boy. Both he and Sophie are still in my thoughts a lot. Everybody here is so great I would have been so lost without you. I will always hold everyone here in my heart. I hope you and your pups are all doing well. My 3 are all doing great. My little cattle dog/boxer mix is crazy as can be, the flat-coat is fat, and Lulu the boxer is, well, a boxer. Isabelle the "boss of Applesauce" has grown so much, her birthday is tomorrow she will be 8. Thanks for all you continue to do.

Hi! its Bernie with Shelby the little dachshund. Checking in, we have been on a level since first asked about Cushings back in Oct. when she had bloodwork etc and first diagnosed.
We go in on next Monday for second checkup to see where we are at now. So far no huge thirst/ pee, not eat fast or crave food, has been no more than it was then. I stay concerned, and watching any thing that seems different, belly not huge yet no skin problems. OH only new thing is a pant once in while, mostly when wants attention or excited when you say whats that? she stops not frequent yet
