In Memory Of Angelina

I've been meaning to start an "In Memory Of Angelina" thread for some time.
Usually on the 24th of each month.
And here we are 8 months and a few minutes later.

I went out to the backyard to light a candle at her grave and place some flowers.
I was surprised to see the yard full of birds!
All gathered about.
Cockatoos, Galahs, Lorrikeets, Magpies & Mynahs.

As if they all came to pay their respects at this sad month-aversary.

The cockatoos especially with their big white wings make me think of angels.

Still tears, still a sore throat.
But not all the time.
The piece of my heart that she opened is closed again.

So many and so much lost this year.

Angelina will never be forgotten. She lives on in your heart. Spring is a time when there is so much new life around that it is a time when we also remember those not with us. Time is a great healer of the heart but none of us know how long it will take.

I will always remember the birthday chickens, and the grooming pictures. So many miles apart but yet so many wonderful memories.

Your sweet (yes! sweet!) Angelina will always be remembered and in this fashion she will always live on in the hearts of many.

I don't think your heart has closed at all, in fact, I think Angelina left your heart much softer than it ever was before. She taught you her brand of love and you have carried that forward with Charley. There is no doubt in my mind that she looks on the two of you with much pride and great joy...and always love.
