We suspect that we have a good number of members who read the messages regularly but who don't post very often. Maybe that's because their dogs are doing well, or they don't have any questions to ask and maybe they don't feel very comfortable about posting answers to other members' questions.

It's perfectly understandable and acceptable for folks to only post here once in a while, but when we don't hear from people, many of us find ourselves wondering what those folks have been up to recently and how their dogs are doing.

"Checking in" is a topic that we start on the first of each month, where folks can post a reply just to let everyone else know how they are doing. You may just want to say "Hi! We're still here and we're doing fine" or you may want to tell us more -- about a really good test result, or something funny that your dog did recently, or a camping trip that you went on ... that sort of thing.

We'd love to hear from you! :)

Hi, It's Serena and I checking in for June. Life got hectic and I think I missed May. Serena continues to be OK. Still the loose stools issue and puny appetite, but other than that she is absolutely normal. The vet recently switched her food to Ultra Z/D and I think it may be starting to help with the stools. Hope all of you are OK and enjoying spring.
Love,
January and Serena

Hi all:

It's been over a month now since Kira died. Last Saturday I saw this guy on a Siberian rescue site. He needed a loving home and I couldn't resist is lovely face. He's quite the handful though. He hasn't had any obedience training, though he walks like an angel on leash. I'm hoping to provide him with a loving home for many years to come.

Miko is a Siberian/Malamute mix; 1 year old. I've posted a few pictures of him in the photo album section.

I still miss Kira very much and I kept hearing the pitter patter of paws. I finally decided that I had to have a dog to share the yard with over the summer, so I got Miko.

Hope all of you and your furkids are keeping well.

Heidi

Hi Haf!

My consolations on your loss; was Kira a Cushings dog? It is so neat that you rescued a dog - that's what I'm going to do in the future! I have a Shih Tzu age 11, diagnosed last month (Pituitary type) and he's doing well on Trilostane! Congratulations on getting a new friend! I too hope you have many years together!

Hugs to you both,
shevan
