The purpose of these polls are to help new cush parents understand the cost in diagnosing k9cushing’s and the cost of monitoring treatment. It may also help new and current members learn if they are being charged a competitive price.

You will notice the polls are listed by currency, this is an international forum and k9cushings knows no boundaries or borders.

Please feel encouraged to post any helpfull comments and even your location. It may help another new member with an alternative and cost effective source to help their cush pup.

Note: Once you have voted, you will be able to see the results and when you click on one of the numbers of votes, the poll will display the names of the voters in each catagory. If you do not wish to vote but want to see the results, click on "View Poll Results" in the lower right corner.

Strangely, and happily (if there is anything 'happy' about my boy's situation), I have to say that some of the polls here don't include a low enough euro amount for the tests we've had done. Despite the unfavorable exchange rate, veterinary care here is less expensive than it is Stateside, sometimes to an impressive degree. So far, we've paid 90€ for the ACTH, 60€ for his ultrasound (done by GP, though, which we will likely have redone this week at the IMS and which I'm sure will be more costly there), and today his LDDS is supposed to run around 70€, but that's just for the test itself, so I'm guessing the total bill will be around 100€. If it's more than that, I'll advise.

Almost everything here (except for wine...again...happily) is more expensive than it is at home. I feel very, very fortunate that vet care is an exception to the rule.

Best,
Jenn
